GA STUDIES | 1732 - Present

In eighth grade, students study Georgia history, geography, government, civics, and economics. Due to the four strands being interwoven, ample opportunity is provided for in-depth study of the geography of Georgia and the government of Georgia. U.S. historical events are included, as appropriate, to ensure students understand Georgia’s role within the history of the United States of America. Georgia Studies is an incredible, meaningful, and thrilling course on the geography, government, economy, and history of the great state of Georgia. This online classroom is designed to allow all students to navigate through the course content, interact with fellow students and teachers as needed, provide resources for remediation and enrichment, and, ultimately, master the course performance standards.
