Good morning, I came across your site last night. It looks awesome. I am in my 24th year of teaching and love discovering different ways to get information across to the students. Thank you.
Ricardo Brown || Ivy Preparatory Academy, Atlanta, GA
A huge thank you to Mr. DeWolf for his innovative and informational Google Slides Presentations. During my first year of teaching, I was hired to teach 8th grade Georgia Studies. Being a politico here in the state, I knew a lot of the information, and visited EVERYWHERE because of the senators I worked for, however the way to present it was a big challenge to me. When I researched the 8th grade standards, I came across Exceed the Standard and I was amazed at the content placed on the website. I am now in my 4th year of teaching and I really depend on Exceed the Standards for activities, Quizlet and a host of other things. Each year, I have scored 92% or better on standardized tests and I have Mr. DeWolf to thank for not only providing this information for his kids but for other teachers who teach Georgia Studies here in our great state.

I have been teaching Georgia Studies for 12 years, and I have always prided myself in preparing comprehensive lessons. However; since I found your web-site, I must admit that I refer to your lessons on a regular basis. These are Great! Thank you for making them available. I have referred all of my peers to your site.

I wanted to let you know this is one of the best sites I have ever seen. You should be working for GaDOE. I started teaching Ga Studies about 5 years ago and your site is very impressive. If I get home (Danielsville) and ya'll are in school, I may stop by one day for a hello. Keep up the great work!

A Tyler || Richmond County School System, Augusta, GA
I just wanted to reach out to tell you THANK YOU!! from the bottom of my heart! My district decided to change the original way of teaching GA Studies (whole year) and cram it into half a year! They still have to take the milestone and I am still accountable for how well they do. But being as this is only my 2nd year teaching, I had no idea what I was going to do. But your resources have been a god send for me. I am pretty sure that people tell you this all the time but I wanted to be sure that if no one told you how much you were appreciated today, that I did! Thank you so much for all the time and energy that you put into this sight! Me and my students greatly appreciate it.
Holly Peeples || Stephens County Middle School, Toccoa, GA
I was given the name of your website last year and used a small amount of your material with my 8th graders in Toccoa. It's the best GA History site out there, and the Powerpoints are my favorite. Thank you for all of your hard work and for putting the info on the Internet. I'm in my 4th year of teaching this subject and am learning right along with the students!
Matthew Cribs || Valdosta Middle School, Valdosta, GA
I recently viewed your website after several of my teachers told me about it. Let me just say, it is quite impressive. I was always proud of my classroom website, but yours is mind-blowing. Not sure how your school district is handling at-home learning (sent during Covid-19), but I have been tasked with pulling social studies resources for students in my district. Would you mind if I shared your awesome website? I hope you and your colleagues and staying safe and doing well.
Sally Stone || Valdosta Middle School, Valdosta, GA
Thank you for posting and maintaining the Exceed The Standard website. I have used it occasionally over the years, but today my lesson on CG1c Rights and Responsibilities fell flat in my 1st and 2nd periods. Your resources are what I need to teach my students this standard. I'm finding that what used to work with students isn't anymore. There is a disconnect that I can't put my finger on.... Anywho, thanks a bunch for what you do!
Enjoy your spring break!
